These photos were taken at Lake Pukaki, New Zealand. Lake Pukaki is fed at the Northern end by the Tasman River, which has it's source in the Tasman and Hooker Glaciers close to Mount Cook. Pukaki's distinctive blue colour is created by glacial flour, which is finely ground rock particles from the glaciers.

I don't know if its the lighting, more ice melt, or the time of day, but Lake Pukaki can sure look different! Either way it's beautiful and photos do not do it justice.
