huh, AFAIK lots of people invite actual friends, but the reality of Steem is... not for everyone LOL. I know that almost everyone I know on here has onboarded tons of people, and the drop out rate for those onboards is nearly 100%. Me personally I have onboarded tons of real life friends and they all left. Steem is basically an anti-social network. If you don't have a particular personality type that can put up with all the BS or see the potential, there really isn't much to justify sticking around. (says someone who is sticking around - I see a lot of potential, albeit not on the main chain)
