Hi, Hive travelers

La Galera and Caribe Beach
Greetings my dear readers. It´s the first time I share in this group. I want you to watch these photos, specially the travelers who haven´t visited Margarita Island. I took them during a recent journey. Have you been in La Galera and Caribe Beach? I´m going to introduce them now.

This photo was taken from La Galera Fort, up the hill

La Galera is a small town of fishermen, a border zone between Juangriego and Altagracia. To get there, from Juangriego, you should cross the bridge and pass by two historical and iconic touristic places on that district Marcano. Los Mártires Lagoon and La Galera Fort are very popular and frequently visited, both are favorite places among tourists and natives.

After crossing the bridge, as I said before, you can find the town which is located in front of the beach. This is an area for fishermen, but is also for bathing. Cold water, empanadas and the amount of boats floating very close of the shore, it´s what best describes that coast.

If you continue the route along that street, which is the only one over there, you arrive directly to Caribe Beach. It´s in Altagracia town. It´s one of the few beaches in that district Gómez, but is very popular too.

Very beautiful, long shore and pleasant waves to enjoy the bath. In that part in the photo, you can see a particular wave, looks like a whirlpool, it´s permanent, waves crashing from opposite directions.

This beach has a particular characteristic of beach grapes trees along the shore. It´s ideal to have some shadows and you can hang a hammock.

In other times, you could see a better view of restaurants and tents.

I like to walk along the whole shore; I always do in every beach I go. That day I found this little friend, in spite that he ran and tried to hide from me, I got him on this photo. Can you see it? He thinks the sand is covering.

A few meters from the coast, there is a small islet, it´s the home of many sea bird species.

Besides, the birds, you can watch some men frequently diving looking for shellfish and mollusk which are abundant around the stones. Some people say that they dive looking also for jewelry because, in occasions, they have found some gold while they dive.

La Galera - Caribe Beach

I do this journey more than once during the year. I´m a sea lover, I enjoy every time I go and always have something new to tell. I hope you liked to know these beautiful beaches from my gorgeous Margarita, in Nueva Esparta state. I love Venezuela.
