Hi guys,
Here's a quick tutorial with screenshots showing how to quickly buy Steem using your Bitcoin. We're gonna use Changelly as very often it has better rates than blocktrades.com and it is very easy to use. Let's go!
1. Go to changelly.com
2. Be sure that you have selected BTC to Steem
3. Enter the amount of BTC you want to pay or the amount of Steem you want to buy.
In the example above we're gonna pay 0.005 BTC for 10.378 Steem
4. Click Exchange!
This will take us to the next window.
5. Check if the values are OK and click Next
6. In the "Steem Address" enter your steemit.com account name
That's right, no complicated character string, just your steemit name :) You can leave the "MEMO" field empty. Double check if you have entered the right steemit name and click Next.
7. Confirm that everything is correct and click Confirm and Make Payment
8. The most important part - send BTC from your wallet.
This screen will show you the BTC address, that you have to send your BTC to. It's like any other BTC payment :)
9. Done! :D
Now you have to only wait for the steem - it will appear on your steemit.com wallet in about 5-30 minutes - depending on how fast your bitcoins can travel :)
Remember than you can use any other cryptocurrency supported by changelly to buy steem or SBD.
