Sunday at Ca' Paradiso: the step counter was on holiday too. 😄 A slow, relaxing day with few activities, a delicious farewell lunch and our guests heading home. But after a very busy week, my body still filed an official complaint in the evening... 😅

🏗️ The greenhouse is finished!

Before relaxing, one last milestone: the greenhouse is finally assembled! 🎉 Metal frame, joints, chicken wire, straw mulch around the young cabbages... a lot of kneeling, bending, measuring and tightening, but now it's standing proud in the vegetable garden, with the hills right behind it. 🌄

The young plants already look happier. Or maybe they're just relieved that the hens can't get in. 🥬🐔

🍝 Spaghetti al pesto and a sweet goodbye

For lunch, the grand finale: a big plate of spaghetti al pesto prepared by the amazing Mariangela. 🌿 Fragrant, creamy, perfect... the kind of dish that makes you forget about everything else. Remember the basil we picked a few days ago? It couldn't have ended up in better hands! 😋

After lunch, Giorgio and Mariangela packed their bags and set off for home. 🚗 Thank you both for the help, the laughs, the hard work on the building site and all the good moments: Ca' Paradiso already feels a bit quieter without you. And Choko Shock has lost his number one treat supplier! 🐶💔

🥝 Six eggs and a kiwi party

Speaking of hens: yesterday they laid 6 eggs! 🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚 And how did they celebrate? With a fruit party. Our girls are real gourmets and they go crazy for fruit: in the photo you can see them pecking at kiwi like it's the finest dessert in Italy. 😋

Happy hens, fresh fruit, six Divine Eggs... the formula keeps working! 😇

🐱 The brave little tiger

The neighbours' tabby cat is getting braver every day. A few weeks ago she ran away as soon as she saw me; yesterday she stayed right there in the grass, looked straight into the camera and let me take her portrait. 📸 Those yellow eyes say: "Fine, you can take the photo. But I'm still in charge here." 😼

And all around the house, the garden has turned yellow: tall stems covered in bright flowers reaching for the blue September sky. 💛

🚗 A visit to Pietralunga

In the afternoon, a calm drive to Pietralunga to visit some friends. A good chat, a few laughs and the perfect Sunday pace. 🤗

😴 Lights out early

And then... total collapse. All the tiredness of the week came out at once, and I went to bed really early. The hens were still awake, the cat was still exploring and I was already asleep. 😂 Sometimes the best activity of the day is simply sleeping!

A finished greenhouse, spaghetti al pesto, a warm goodbye, 6 eggs, gourmet hens, a brave cat and friends in Pietralunga: a slow Sunday done right, and a well-deserved night of sleep! 🌙 How do you spend your perfect lazy Sunday? 👇

🇮🇹 Una domenica lenta: pesto, saluti, kiwi per le galline... e un contadino stanco morto 🍝🥝😴

Domenica a Ca' Paradiso: anche il contapassi era in ferie. 😄 Una giornata lenta e rilassante, con poche attività, un pranzo di saluto buonissimo e i nostri ospiti in partenza per casa. Ma dopo una settimana intensa, la sera il mio corpo ha comunque presentato un reclamo ufficiale... 😅

🏗️ La serra è finita!

Prima del relax, un ultimo traguardo: la serra è finalmente montata! 🎉 Struttura in metallo, giunti, rete, pacciamatura di paglia intorno ai cavoli giovani... tanto stare in ginocchio, piegarsi, misurare e stringere, ma ora è lì, fiera nell'orto, con le colline alle spalle. 🌄

Le piantine sembrano già più contente. O forse sono solo sollevate che le galline non possano più entrare. 🥬🐔

🍝 Spaghetti al pesto e un dolce arrivederci

A pranzo, il gran finale: un bel piatto di spaghetti al pesto preparati dalla bravissima Mariangela. 🌿 Profumati, cremosi, perfetti... uno di quei piatti che ti fanno dimenticare tutto il resto. Vi ricordate il basilico raccolto qualche giorno fa? Non poteva finire in mani migliori! 😋

Dopo pranzo Giorgio e Mariangela hanno fatto le valigie e sono ripartiti per tornare a casa. 🚗 Grazie a entrambi per l'aiuto, le risate, il lavoro in cantiere e tutti i bei momenti: Ca' Paradiso sembra già un po' più silenziosa senza di voi. E Choko Shock ha perso la sua fornitrice ufficiale di biscottini! 🐶💔

🥝 Sei uova e una festa al kiwi

A proposito di galline: ieri hanno fatto 6 uova! 🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚 E come hanno festeggiato? Con una festa a base di frutta. Le nostre ragazze sono delle vere golose e vanno matte per la frutta: nella foto le vedete sbecchettare i kiwi come se fossero il dessert più raffinato d'Italia. 😋

Galline felici, frutta fresca, sei Uova Divine... la formula funziona sempre! 😇

🐱 La piccola tigre coraggiosa

La gatta tigrata dei vicini si fa ogni giorno più coraggiosa. Qualche settimana fa scappava appena mi vedeva; ieri è rimasta lì nell'erba, ha guardato dritto nell'obiettivo e si è lasciata fare il ritratto. 📸 Quegli occhi gialli dicono: "Va bene, puoi fare la foto. Ma qui comando sempre io." 😼

🌻 Un mare di giallo

E tutto intorno alla casa il giardino è diventato giallo: steli altissimi coperti di fiori luminosi che si allungano verso il cielo blu di settembre. 💛

🚗 Una visita a Pietralunga

Nel pomeriggio, un giro tranquillo a Pietralunga a trovare degli amici. Una bella chiacchierata, qualche risata e il ritmo giusto della domenica. 🤗

😴 Luci spente presto

E poi... crollo totale. Tutta la stanchezza della settimana è uscita in un colpo solo, e sono andato a letto prestissimo. Le galline erano ancora sveglie, la gatta era ancora in esplorazione e io dormivo già. 😂 A volte l'attività migliore della giornata è semplicemente dormire!

Una serra finita, spaghetti al pesto, un caloroso arrivederci, 6 uova, galline golose, una gatta coraggiosa e amici a Pietralunga: una domenica lenta come si deve e una notte di sonno meritatissima! 🌙 Come passate voi la domenica perfetta? 👇
