Me parece genial poder dar nuestra perspectiva personal de nuestro paso por Hive porque así podemos ayudar un poco a los que están comenzando en esta comunidad y desean conocer un poco más sobre el tema. Para ello, debo responder a 4 preguntas, así que sin más preámbulo, comencemos:

I think it's great to be able to give our personal perspective of our time at Hive because that way we can help a little to those who are starting in this community and want to know a little more about the subject. To do this, I have to answer 4 questions, so without further ado, let's get started:

• ¿Qué es Hive? / What is Hive?

Decir exactamente qué es Hive me resulta un poquito difícil, pero podría explicarlo usando una analogía bastante apropiada: Hive es una Colmena (y es así tal cual, pues Colmena es Hive en inglés) en la que todos los creadores de contenido somos abejitas trabajando y nuestro trabajo produce una MIEL (en este caso es una criptomoneda). Si me equivoco por favor, corríjanme en los comentarios, pero es lo que he entendido desde que comencé aquí el año pasado.

Saying exactly what Hive is, is a bit difficult for me, but I could explain it using a fairly appropriate analogy: Hive is a Beehive in which all content creators are little bees working and our work produces a HONEY (in this case it is a cryptocurrency). If I'm wrong please correct me in the comments, but it's what I've understood since I started here last year.

Por esta razón, todo el contenido que creamos en esta plataforma tiene una remuneración en HBD (la criptomoneda) que podemos cambiar a la moneda que nosotros queramos.

For this reason, all the content we create on this platform has a remuneration in HBD (the cryptocurrency) that we can change to the currency we want.

Supongo que Hive es mucho más complejo que esto, pero es la forma en la que yo lo percibo y como suelo describirlo cuando alguien me pregunta de qué se trata y la mayoría logra entenderme.

I suppose that Hive is much more complex than this, but it is the way I perceive it and how I usually describe it when someone asks me what it is about and most of them understand me.

• ¿Cómo supe de Hive? / How did I hear about Hive?

Mis amigas @evelynchacin y @esthefanychacin fueron las que me introdujeron a este mundo de HIVE. Yo nunca había oído nada al respecto y cuando ellas me comentaron de qué se trataba me pareció muy interesante.

My friends @evelynchacin and @esthefanychacin were the ones who introduced me to this world of HIVE. I had never heard anything about it and when they told me what it was about I found it very interesting.

Recuerdo que fue en Mayo del año pasado, justamente cuando estábamos todos en casa porque la pandemia del COVID-19 estaba comenzando y yo tenía mucho tiempo libre así que me animé a comenzar y fue una decisión completamente reveladora.

I remember it was in May of last year, just when we were all at home because the COVID-19 pandemic was beginning and I had a lot of free time so I was encouraged to start and it was a completely revealing decision.

• ¿Cuáles eran mis dudas al ingresar a Hive? / What were my doubts when entering Hive?

Como les comentaba, fue una decisión reveladora, pero no todo fue color de rosa. Al principio estaba muy confundida con todo. Tenía dudas de cuáles códigos debía usar, recuerdo que no sabía ni como subir una foto 😂, pero lo que más me hizo sufrir fue saber qué tipo de etiquetas tenía que usar.

As I mentioned, it was a revealing decision, but not everything was rosy. At first I was very confused about everything. I had doubts about which codes to use, I remember not even knowing how to upload a photo, but what made me suffer the most was knowing what kind of tags to use.

Sin embargo, mis princesas @evelynchacin y @esthefanychacin me tuvieron mucha paciencia, sobre todo Eve me ayudó muchísimo a resolver todas mis dudas. Y muchas otras cosas las fui descubriendo a medida que le invertía tiempo a la plataforma.

However, my princesses @evelynchacin and @esthefanychacin had a lot of patience with me, especially Eve helped me a lot to solve all my doubts. And many other things I discovered as I spent time on the platform.

• ¿Cuál ha sido mi experiencia hasta el momento? / What has been my experience so far?

En definitiva ha sido llena de altibajos, momentos de frustración en los que las cosas no me han salido como quiero. Por ejemplo, cuando publicas un post sin querer y luego tienes que editar todo 😠. O cuando usas una imagen de internet y olvidas citar la fuente 😟 o cuando no hay conexión a internet (bastante común en mi casa).

In short, it has been full of ups and downs, moments of frustration in which things have not turned out the way I want. For example, when you accidentally publish a post and then have to edit everything 😠. Or when you use an image from the internet and forget to cite the source 😟 or when there is no internet connection (quite common in my house).

Pero luego están esos momentos de orgullo en los que un post queda genial y te sientes tan bien contigo mismo. O cuando otro valoran tu contenido con votos o comentarios positivos. Y ni hablar de la emoción que se siente cuando ves que tu trabajo está siendo remunerado.

But then there are those moments of pride where a post looks great and you feel so good about yourself. Or when others value your content with votes or positive comments. And not to mention the excitement you feel when you see that your work is being paid.

Si ponemos en una balanza todo esto, definitivamente ha sido una experiencia maravillosa. No solo en esos momentos de felicidad y orgullo sino en esos momentos de frustración que te llevan a esforzarte por hacer todo mejor y sobre todo por aprender.

If we weigh all of this up, it has definitely been a wonderful experience. Not only in those moments of happiness and pride but in those moments of frustration that lead you to strive to do everything better and above all to learn.
