The Calzones take two, in tier two
🐲 Brawl Report 🐲
This was our second Brawl in Tier 2. The first Brawl was a learning experience with new frays and stiffer competition. With a bit of practice under our belt could we step it up this time around? Would I be able to keep up my winning ways or would tier two bring me back to earth with a smack down?

I typically feel pretty good in a low mana fight with Thaddius up against Kelya and when this battle loaded up I thought I had a shot to pull this one out. Sure my opponent had an armor and melee advantage, but I had Warrior in the back with shatter and some decent magic damage to slip past it as well.
Unfortunately 31% is not enough of a chance to pull the win out this time. It isn't an impossibility, but that isn't going to cut it. The Lost Legendaries ruleset eliminated playing a Fiend which would have been nice for some more meat on the battlefield, but without my opponents Trample and melee advantage proved too much to overcome.
What would have been better?
This is typically the space where I like to share how moving cards around or switching just one card could have turned the tide and changed a 31% chance of victory into a sure thing. Well, in this case I tried and tried and tried, but couldn't find an arrangement with the Death cards I own that would have a better chance of winning. Sometimes we choose the wrong summoner and we have to just hold our heads up and look to the next battle. It's still beneficial to go through the exercise and think through the battle to make sure the best cards are being played in the correct situations.
