Sometimes it takes a combination to win

Last week I shared a battle in which it took several combinations of abilities and buffs to overcome my opponent's strengths. This week I again choose to share a battle of synergizing abilities, but it was only two abilities that I needed to come out on top.

Tarsa v Obsidian

With no summoner buffs and decent mana count here was my thinking...

CardNotes
Grum is always a solid tank option with heavy armor, high attack and Void armor and Void. With no option for my opponent to buff magic attacks I had a hunch this would be a good choice
Hoping my opponent would choose the magic option I doubled down on the Grum tank with Tinderlock's Silence ability.

Looks like I choose rock and my opponent choose scissors

SPL can turn into a bit of rock, paper and scissors. Taking the analogy a bit further I was hoping my opponent would go magic heavy and my Grum/Tinderlock combo would grind my opponent's attack to a halt.

Round 1 - On load up it looks like I choose well. Five of my opponent's seven attacks are magic. On top of that, thanks to silence they are all reduced to 1 magic attack which can do my tank no harm! Round one finished with Grum only taking three armor damage, but my opponents tank falling and the secondary tank on death's door. It couldn't have gone much better. 👍

Round 2 - Grum loses his armor, but gains it back before the end of the round thanks to Bloodlust kicking in. By the end of the round my opponent is down to two cards, each of which cannot do any damage to Grum thanks to powerful Silence/Void combo. The battle is all but over going into the third round 👍👍👍

Round 3 - Wow! Grum gets one more boost from Bloodlust and Mordeus deals the deathblow. THis battle was over before it started thanks to the combo of Silence and Void 👍

Use the abilities

In a great follow up to last week's battle the abilities are what increase winning percentage. As you are able to upgrade your collection pay attention to the abilities each card earns and how best to synergize it with your other cards.
