Good morning fellow summoners. This is @zusi78, welcome to my blog.
Three days ago I made a post,you can check it here about the fighter boss The Big Leronski where he completely decimate my lineup.
Now, yesterday I was lucky with the Valor Lux wheel and after spinning,I got another invitation to fight any of the three fighter bosses. Been that the last time I was humiliated by The Big Leronski,I opted to face him again and I got my pound of flesh. Exerience they say is the best teacher.
@untilwelearn,
@logen9f,
@zoe01,
@durlan,
@les90,
@atnazo and host of others. I learned a lot from your battles. Now, back to the topic of discussion.
Like I said earlier his abilities were
Void Armor.
Magic damage hits armor before health.
Cleanse.
Removes all magic debuffs from the allied unit in the first position.
Dispel.
Removes magic buffs after a successful attack.
With this information I presented the line up below 👇.
The splinterlands game developer did well to include the new arena vanguard foundation cards for selection. All the cards are available and you are free to choose from.
So I choose summoner: AURENDRAK I don't know why, because Bathalamas would have been able to summon those line up as well and even grant all allied units +1speed, well maybe next time.
Tank: Jolius Blast, melee attack with Void, Enrage and Retaliate.
Second position: Frankasgard, melee attack with Enrage.
Third position: Eris Bimblenok, magic attack with Inspire.
Fourth position:Vengeful monk, melee attack with Opportunity.
Fifth position:Sturdy Axe Warden, ranged attack.
Last position:A'lan musketeer, ranged attack with double strike.
The Battle.
Round 1,Scene 3,after activating the tactics phase and all melee attack monsters have been Inspired by Eris Bimblenok, Big Leronski attacked first, taking on Jolius.This singular act triggered enrage in Jolius since it has the ability, turning its melee attack to +6, but turned to +5 when boss attacked with Dispel as well.
Round 1,Scene 6. Jolius attacked, when it was its turn and attacked again because Retaliate was triggered as shown the next screenshot.
Round 1, Scene 7.Jolius Retaliate in action,making it look as if it was a dual strike.A total of +10 damage,huge and a game changer,I would say From here on,it was fields day from other monsters,since the Void armor has been shattered.
Round 2. Another repetition of round 1 above. Boss attacked first, Jolius followed with retaliate as shown in the following screenshots below 👇. Depleting the health of the boss gradually.
Round 3.Death of Jolius.But The Boss health was already at 29.And the attack kept coming in like a tsunami from other monsters.
Last strike was from Sturdy Axe Warden completed the kill.

MY TAKE ON BOSS FIGHT.
If you are fighting any of these fighter bosses, The first thing is to study their abilities. That would enable you to select a solid deck and present for battle.
Why I selected Jolius as my tank is because it is a melee attacker with the Retaliate and Enrage abilities. Once Enrage triggers, it becomes a formidable source of firepower.
I also added Eris Bimblenok for its Inspire ability, which grants +1 melee powr to all friendly melee monsters.
These choices were made to shatter the boss’s armor as quickly as possible, since it has Void Armor.
