There are books that are magical and that surprise from the first reading, the one I come to talk about today is one of them; a very famous book on the Wattpad platform and that to tell the truth many times I was thinking of reading but as always you need a push to do the best things in life; in my case it was a very strange weekend, full of anxiety and also a pretty big block to write, the truth is that I had a lot of not read a book in 24 hours but again I was surprised with this work.

Boulevard, the story written by Flor Salvador, I do not know exactly since when this book is on the platform but taking into account that it is already in physical, I imagine that several years, in addition to the 56.3 million readings ... As I said is a book that everyone was talking about in groups or reading networks and I needed to know what was the magic that drove everyone crazy, and in search of that I started reading at almost 7 pm and finished it at noon the other day, less than 24 hours ...

Boulevard introduces us to two very different characters, polar opposites to tell the truth: Hasley and Luke, both teenagers. Luke Howland has decided to lead his life down an unhealthy path that includes many toxic substances entering his body, but beyond that, his life is one full of regret and pain... Or at least that is until Hasley Weigel appears in his existence representing colors and hopes that he clearly wasn't used to.

Fate brings them together by chance and although we might think that their souls would unite making chaos around them; this chaos is one full of dreams, surprises and nuances that many times we are not prepared to face. In the end... They were perfectly imperfect.

I will tell you in two words the magic of this book: Luke Howland, a character who naturally is not perfect but who captivates in a contrasting way in every scene... The first 3 chapters of the novel I felt the story had a lot of clichés, I mean a boy in trouble, with traumas and drugs in between who meets a naive girl... But not all clichés are bad some are just magical. I could praise the writer of this beautiful story in a thousand ways, because while it is not one of the most powerful stories I have ever read, it is one of the most beautiful I have ever read... The magic of the scenes and the emotional charge they represent is a great mix for a reader.

The beginning and denouement of events took me on a roller coaster of emotions the whole time that I haven't gotten off of yet after finishing reading. Let's not talk about the ending that still hurts me, I just want to say regarding that that it is not what I would have expected to read but I understand why, and maybe we had hints of this ending throughout the book but we are so busy with the beauty of the scenes that we could never realize it... And I speak in plural because I know I was not the only one to feel this way.

I must say that this is a novel that gets anyone out of a reading block, even though I feel it has a long average (30 chapters, a prologue, an epilogue and an extra) you don't know at what point you are reading one chapter after another, it really is magical.... Now, if I feel that it is a book that needs a little maturity to read, for several reasons, but the main one is that there are not good behaviors and sensitive issues such as drugs that often for love of a character you can romanticize, but with maturity in between, you know that these behaviors are not right. Although we must remember that this is fiction, but it is always good to clarify to the target audience.

For me this book has tireless teachings and so many iconic moments that I have half a phone with captures of the reading, truly an experience that I do not regret at all; a book that made me a breath of fresh air, so special and with such a beautiful love that left me many times sighing and crying of how beautiful and special it became. I feel that in a world where what is needed many times is a hug and love, this book is the biggest hug of all; of course it hurts a lot some things that happen around it but at the same time you have a beautiful work that feeds the soul.

Boulevard is the faithful proof that not all clichés are bad, through its characters and a love story marked by hope and dreams it gives you back a bit of peace in your day to day life. And while your emotions may end up a mess by the end of it, every word you read and every sentence your brain processes will be a firm chance to discover the magic of a book that you may not be psychologically prepared for, but that will remind you that there are stories worth telling.... Luke and Hasley's story is not perfect, they are far from being the most correct love story in the world of literature but without a doubt they are incredibly perfect because they remind us that love doesn't need to have 19th century romance, nor big words, it just needs to be authentic and pure to go beyond the screen.

As I said at the beginning, Boulevard is not the book that will leave you impressed by the eccentricity of its story but it will leave you with emotions on the surface and after all, art does not need so much protocol to achieve its purpose: to shake souls.

I think you can tell that I fell in love with the story, this is a saga that I will continue reading and of course I will bring you a post about it. Will I like the other books as much? I don't know, but I have undeniably loved this reading experience.

There are thousands of such iconic phrases in this play but here are just a few of my favorites:

"I would fall first for you to block your pain."

"We're creating our own Boulevard, only this one will have an ending for one of us, and let me tell you, I won't regret it."

"Because when I'm sad, I have bad days, when I want to cry or scream you show up and I feel like I'm invincible by your side."

"To hell with people, to hell with people and their damn opinions! You have to decide for yourself, see for your own good without having to put in what people will say, in the end it will always be your shit and theirs is very much their problem... You can't give up on someone who is in your thoughts every day."

"I told you I love you, and I always will, in this life and a thousand more. Hasley, I do and I don't regret it, and if it means giving up my life for you, I would, I would do it in a heartbeat because mine will always be yours, because it's always been about you, it always has been."

"I know now that a human being's strongest drug is another human being."

"You know, let them laugh at how pathetic you are, at the end of the day we all end up the same, on a boulevard of broken dreams."

I hope you liked this post, which without a doubt I wrote with fresh feelings, and with a lot of love. See you soon.
