Hola comunidad HIVE.
Hello HIVE community. As always, I am grateful for the minutes you take to read these short notes. Today I present a very short story with an air of violence.
Violence related to delinquency or crime, generically speaking, is not a current phenomenon, far from it; nor is it confined to "western" society. In this framework, we could review much more violent behaviors of peoples considered as our cultural ancestors.
An image repeated in a jocular way, but with an accurate content is the following: "When Cain killed his brother Abel, a quarter of humanity - the humanity of the Hebrew people - had disappeared."
However, there are different societies, perhaps because of their environment, because of the small population; perhaps because over the centuries, they have managed to coexist lovingly, almost miraculously, like the Inuit ; whom we call - wrongly - Eskimos. Other primitive peoples are also an example that a less violent humanity is possible.
The night came unexpectedly, it was raining and the water was pouring down the slope; possibly many houses would be flooded in the neighborhood.
The windstorm was lashing the roof, the doors and the two windows. It roared and made as much noise as the bullets that pierced the flimsy, unfrogged brick walls.
Dentro estábamos nosotros, Baltazar, Pedro y yo.
Inside were us, Baltazar, Pedro and me. They had trapped us like rats, like miserable rats!
The culprit is Pedro's wife! Surely it was her, damn it!
It wasn't Carmen Baltazar, I swear it wasn't her!
Then who, tell me who else knew about the bank robbery and how they found out about our hideout! When we planned the robbery, it was just the three of us and your wife Pedro! It was her, no shit!
Shut up! I shouted at them. Now we are trapped, we surrender or resist to the end!
¡Bueno pana!
¡Bang! ¡Bang! ¡Bang! ¡Agáchense rápido! Alcance a decir.
¡Bang! Bang! Bang! ¡Ay! ¡Me dieron coño! ¡Aguanta pana, aguanta!
Well, my friend! Said Baltazar I'll never fall into the cana again! I'll stay here, until they take me out!
Pedro shouted loudly, despite the pain caused by the hole that was gangrenating in his abdomen ¡Yo aguanto Carajo, no me rindo; salgo libre o con los pies por delante!
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Get down quick! I managed to say.
Outside shouted an unbridled and mocking voice: "Give yourselves up or we'll look for you, you're already fried motherfuckers, get out!
I looked at my companions, we were young, Baltazar the oldest, he would not be thirty years old.
My mind could not get images of them out of my mind. Maybe we could have been doctors, merchants; maybe even politicians, who knows, maybe we could have had another chance.
I gripped the iron tightly in my trembling hands, and pumped my lungs to the fullest Here we are, faggots! Come and get us! Come in if you're... Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
The walls of the shack were pierced by so many bullets, the cold air seeped cruelly, like an evil breath towards us. Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Ow! They hit me pussy! Hold on, man, hold on! My voice was barely audible,it was impossible to distinguish the roar of the downpour on the tin roof, from the whistling thunder of the bullets drilling the walls.
The wind was picking up. Between the ammunition and the rattling of the roof, I heard murmurs pronouncing our names; it was undoubtedly the call of death! It came with our faces engraved on every lead shot!
Ahora debo despedirme.
Now I must say goodbye. In the next installment perhaps I will travel the paths of the series "Gatos y Otros", or perhaps it will be the "La Ruta del Yare" and who knows if it will be more like "Encuentros y Siluetas" . Until then.
