A bright, sunny afternoon creates a unique atmosphere, especially when that sense of tranquility unfolds along a roadway lined with trees—a peaceful feeling that is truly beyond words.
This is what I experienced a few days ago while traveling toward the city of Banda Aceh. Specifically, as I passed through the Seulawah mountain area, I was captivated by the profound stillness of the surroundings. The cool, pleasant weather—complemented by the bright, intense sunlight—added a special, welcoming touch, making it the perfect moment for me to capture a few photographs during my journey.
Every bend reveals a truly stunning vista; I am personally in awe of the natural scenery I’ve witnessed along this journey. I believe the few random snapshots I’ve shared above will give you a glimpse into the atmosphere of this stretch of road.
The calls of wild birds accompany me on this trip. The road itself is quieter than usual—which is understandable, given that today is a holiday. Furthermore, the completion and opening of a nearby toll road have likely contributed to the prevailing sense of stillness in this area. If you’re lucky, you might even spot some of the wildlife that has made this place home—such as the troops of monkeys often found along the roadside—though perhaps because it is currently midday, they are nowhere to be seen.
