Good evening, my dear friends, wherever you may be. As always, I hope you are all staying healthy and happy, allowing you to go about your daily activities smoothly—may you all have a wonderful day!
In this post, I am returning to this beloved community to share some images of a small, organic-matter-eating creature: the red millipede. While it may resemble a centipede, it is actually quite different; unlike the carnivorous centipede, the millipede feeds on organic debris and does not bite.
However, if it feels threatened or stressed, this little creature may secrete a mild-smelling fluid that can cause skin redness or a burning sensation upon contact.
I personally encountered this creature in a plantation area where the soil was damp. These small animals thrive in such moist environments—especially beneath small leaves where it is dark—as these spots often contain piles of decaying leaves or rotting wood, which serve as the primary food source for the red millipede.
Below are several images I captured of this creature from various angles.
Alright, my friends, those are the images I’ve shared for this session. I hope you all enjoy them and find them entertaining. See you next time!
