😎Hi Cool Steemhunters! 😎
Recently, Developer USB Killer has revealed that 95% of hardware integrated with USB connectors are vulnerable to "Fatal Damage" caused by short circuits.
This of course directly tarnished the name of the hardware company (PC, Smartphone, and even devices with other USB connectors).
What is USB Killer?
The USB Killer is a CE Approved and FCC Approved testing device is designed to test the surge protection circuitry of electronics to their limits - and beyond.
When plugged into a device, the USB Killer rapidly charges its capacitors from the USB power lines. When the device is charged, -200VDC is discharged over the data lines of the host device. This charge / discharge cycle is repeated many times per second, until the USB Killer is removed.
Then, what's the point?
In my opinion, USB Killer is more enabled for hardware developers who have USB port as data transfer. So, they can test the ability of their hardware to be more secure.
USB Kill uses a short circuit as a trigger for electric konsletting on electronic devices.
In the test inside the video, there are some devices that do not work even though using USB Kill the iPhone device. While the rest are directly "Dead", yes, this is really dead because the CPU device directly damaged.
