FULL Elon Musk’s Speech at SpaceX 2017 Event

Spacex announced that they are developing the 'BFR' (short for Big F*cking Rocket). In no less than 5 years Spacex aims to make the first launch to Mars. This rocket is unique because it will be reusable and the costs to launch it will be signifcantly lower than previous rockets. Musk hopes to build a moonbase and fly 2 cargo missions to mars by 2022. He said:

"It's 2017, we should have a lunar base right now, what the hell's going on?"

Musk also showed interest in using the same type of rockets for international travel. By launching the BFR into an orbit around the earth we would be able to access any place in the world in under 1 hour. That's some innovative thinking right there!

Exciting times are ahead and I cannot wait for new updates from Elon Musk and Spacex.
