Mis creativos amigos, espero se encuentren muy bien hoy.

En estos días estuve armando un adorno muy bello para compartirles y enseñarles a hacer, pero dicho adorno, lleva varias grullitas de origami.
Al terminarlo me di cuenta que iba a tener que hacer dos posts al respecto, ya que, de por sí, el origami es algo complejo de explicar. De modo que decidí hacer esta primera parte explicándoles el paso a paso para que ustedes mismos puedan hacerlas sin ningún problema.

Por otra parte, cuando estaba armando los collages con las fotos, también me di cuenta que iba a ser algo complicado explicar cada doblez sin que les quede ninguna duda, utilizando solamente una secuencia fotográfica, ya que, claramente, no es lo mismo que un video. por lo que intenté editar los collages lo mas explícitos posible.

My creative friends, I hope you are very well today.

These days I have been putting together a very beautiful ornament to share and teach you how to make, but said ornament has several origami cranes.
When I finished it, I realized that I was going to have to write two posts about it, since origami itself is something complex to explain. So I decided to do this first part explaining the step by step so that you can do it yourself without any problem.

On the other hand, when I was putting together the collages with the photos, I also realized that it was going to be somewhat complicated to explain each fold without any doubt, using only a photographic sequence, since, clearly, it is not the same as a video. so I tried to edit the collages as explicit as possible.

Comencemos.

Lo primero que realizaremos sera cortar un cuadrado de papel de la medida que prefieran, lo importante es que los lados midan exactamente los mismo. en mi caso lo hice de 12cm de alto x 12cm ancho.

Luego, como se muestra en la primer imagen, giraremos el cuadrado como si fuese un rombo para luego doblarlo exactamente a la mitad de izquierda a derecha y luego de arriba hacia abajo. Para eso juntaremos las puntas laterales formando un triangulo rectángulo, y marcaremos la hipotenusa (el lado mas largo) utilizando una regla o la uña del dedo para que el doblez quede bien pronunciado. Posteriormente abriremos nuevamente el cuadrado para repetir el mismo procedimiento pero esta vez juntando la punta superior con la inferior. Volvemos al cuadrado inicial.

A continuación doblaremos el cuadrado por la mitad formando un rectángulo horizontal y marcamos el doblez otra vez con una regla o la uña. volvemos a abrir y repetiremos el procedimiento, esta vez juntando los laterales formando un rectángulo vertical, como se muestra en la imagen de abajo. Volvemos a abrir el cuadrado.

let's get started

The first thing we will do is cut a square of paper to the size you prefer, the important thing is that the sides measure exactly the same. In my case I made it 12cm high x 12cm wide.

Then, as shown in the first image, we will rotate the square as if it were a rhombus and then fold it exactly in half from left to right and then from top to bottom. For that we will join the lateral points forming a right triangle, and we will mark the hypotenuse (the longest side) using a ruler or fingernail so that the fold is well pronounced. Later we will open the square again to repeat the same procedure but this time joining the upper point with the lower one. We return to the initial square.

Next we will fold the square in half forming a horizontal rectangle and mark the fold again with a ruler or fingernail. We open it again and repeat the procedure, this time joining the sides to form a vertical rectangle, as shown in the image below. We reopen the square.

Ahora volvemos a posicionar el cuadrado como si fuese un rombo y juntaremos las puntas laterales por detrás del rombo. Dichas puntas deben quedar posicionadas en la esquina inferior y por dentro. Los dobleces marcados que hicimos previamente, ayudará en este paso (y espero que en la imagen se entienda bien también). La idea es que nos vuelva a quedar un rombo pero más pequeño.

Now we return to position the square as if it were a rhombus and we will join the lateral points behind the rhombus. These tips should be positioned in the lower corner and inside. The marked folds that we made previously will help in this step (and I hope that the image is clear too). The idea is that we have a rhombus again but smaller.

Bien. ahora teniendo la apertura del rombo hacia abajo, notaran que cada lateral cuenta con dos solapas.

cogeremos la primer solapa de uno de los laterales y llevaremos la punta de ese lateral hacia el centro del rombo, procurando que ese nuevo lateral (el mediano) quede perfectamente alineado con la linea vertical del centro del rombo (tenemos la referencia bien marcada de dicha linea gracias a los dobleces que realizamos al principio). luego haremos exactamente lo mismo con el otro lateral.

al concluir estos pasos, daremos vuelta la figura y repetiremos el mismo procedimiento. Ésto nos resultará en un trapezoide simétrico.

Good. now with the opening of the rhombus facing down, you will notice that each side has two flaps.

We will take the first flap of one of the sides and we will take the tip of that side to the center of the rhombus, ensuring that this new side (the median) is perfectly aligned with the vertical line of the center of the rhombus (we have the well-marked reference of said line thanks to the folds that we made at the beginning). then we will do exactly the same with the other side.

At the end of these steps, we will turn the figure and repeat the same procedure. This will result in a symmetrical trapezoid.

Notaran que por ensima de los ultimos dobleces que hicimos, nos quedó un pequeño triangulo sobre la esquina superior. marcaremos dicho triangulo llevandolo hacia adelante y hacia atras (recuerden repasar con una regla cada doblez) y lo volveremos a la posición original.

Creo que esta es la parte mas difícil de explicar, espero que les sirva la secuencia fotográfica de referencia para este paso 😅.

abriremos las ultimas dos solapas que hemos doblado (volverá a quedar un pequeño rombo) y luego llevaremos la esquina inferior hacia arriba.
Esta vez no la juntaremos con la esquina superior, sino que nos guiaremos por la marca del pequeño triangulo que marcamos en el paso anterior. Pueden ayudarse presionando ese pequeño triangulo superior con un dedo, y ahí si, llevar la punta inferior hacia arriba hasta lograr que los extremos laterales queden perfectamente alineados en el centro vertical de la figura.

Una vez que logramos ese paso, daremos vuelta otra vez la figura y repetiremos el mismo procedimiento.

You will notice that above the last folds we made, we have a small triangle on the top corner. We will mark said triangle taking it forwards and backwards (remember to review each fold with a ruler) and we will return it to the original position.

I think this is the most difficult part to explain, I hope the reference photographic sequence for this step will help you 😅.

We will open the last two flaps that we have folded (it will be a small rhombus again) and then we will bring the bottom corner up.
This time we will not join it with the upper corner, but we will be guided by the mark of the small triangle that we marked in the previous step. They can be helped by pressing that small upper triangle with one finger, and there, yes, bring the lower tip up until the lateral ends are perfectly aligned in the vertical center of the figure.

once we achieve that step, we will turn the figure around again and repeat the same procedure.

Este próximo paso, es parecido al anteúltimo que realizamos hasta el momento. mismo procedimiento.

Llevamos las esquinas laterales (de la solapa superficial) hacia la linea vertical del centro de la figura. cuando ambos laterales estén alineados en el centro, daremos vuelta la figura y repetimos la metodología.

Nos quedará un trapecio simétrico mas angosto.

This next step is similar to the penultimate one we have done so far. same procedure.

We bring the lateral corners (of the superficial flap) towards the vertical line of the center of the figure. when both sides are aligned in the center, we will turn the figure and repeat the methodology.

We will have a narrower symmetrical trapezoid.

En este punto, se darán cuenta que nuevamente, los laterales de la figura están compuestos, cada uno, por dos solapas. llamémoslas "solapa superficial" y "solapa inferior". También tengamos en cuenta que lo que divide estos laterales, es la linea vertical del centro.

Dicho ésto, abriremos el lateral izquierdo, superponiendo la solapa superficial, perfectamente alineada con el lateral derecho y juntaremos la esquina inferior (de este lateral abierto) con la esquina superior del trapecio. dejando éstas esquinas juntas, repetiremos el mismo procedimiento con el lateral derecho.

y volveremos a la posición original, manteniendo las esquinas en la parte superior. de esta manera, ahora tendremos un diamante invertido.

At this point, you will realize that again, the sides of the figure are each made up of two flaps. let's call them "shallow flap" and "bottom flap". Also keep in mind that what divides these sides is the vertical line of the center.

That said, we will open the left side, superimposing the superficial flap, perfectly aligned with the right side and we will join the lower corner (of this open side) with the upper corner of the trapezoid. Leaving these corners together, we will repeat the same procedure with the right side.

and we will return to the original position, keeping the corners at the top. in this way, we will now have an inverted diamond.

Ahora notaran que, desde la punta superior de la figura, sobresalen dos pequeñas puntas a los lados.

Cogeremos la punta del lado izquierdo, y (presionando la esquina inferior izquierda de la figura) la llevaremos hacia abajo (formando una diagonal) hasta posicionarla a su antojo, teniendo en cuenta que éste será el cuello de nuestra grulla. Luego llevaremos la punta de esta diagonal hacia abajo para dar forma a lo que seria la cabeza y el pico.

Una vez listo, repetiremos el método con la punta que nos quedó en el lateral derecho, pero esta vez, dejaremos la diagonal recta. Ésta será la cola.

Now you will notice that, from the upper point of the figure, two small points protrude from the sides.

We will take the tip on the left side, and (by pressing the lower left corner of the figure) we will take it downwards (forming a diagonal) until positioning it at will, taking into account that this will be the neck of our crane. Then we will take the tip of this diagonal down to shape what would be the head and the beak.

Once ready, we will repeat the method with the tip that was left on the right side, but this time, we will leave the diagonal straight. This will be the tail.

Para ello solo queda llevar la punta superior de las solapas de cada lado hacia abajo, marcando suavemente el doblez horizontal, formando un diamante.
