Hard Fork Series Submissions

I just read a number of the Hardfork Submissions for the 2029 prompt and I took two things away from it:

a) There are great writers on Steemit. Like WOW!

b) My submission was too short!

I loved the submission by @jordan.lesich, as dark as it was, and "Ashes and Acorns" by @carolkean. Those are likely MY choices if I were to vote on the winners.
