We have seen a great success with the Chaos Legion general sale, unlocking 3 new airdrops.
It has been about a day since then since Lira the Dark, Iza the Fanged and Grum Fireblade was airdropped to general sale participants.
Personally, I haven't played much with Lira and Iza since Death and Earth are my two weakest splinters.
That brings us to the main character of today - Grum Fireblade.
Grum Fireblade is currently listed around $17.
- In my opinion, it is massively undervalued although I did sell a few to fund some other purchases.
Let's take a look at why this card is such a BEAST.
Pros:
Bloodlust, the first of its kind.
- Matches well with Qid and Tarsa.
- Qid gives Grum the Piercing ability so the excess damage doesn't go to waste.
Much needed counter in the fire splinter to magic spams
- At level 2 it has Void and Void Armor.
- Combine it with a monster with Repair like Scavo Hireling and it'll be unstoppable.
Cons:
High mana usage
- Hard to use in Novice and Bronze due to matches generally being low mana.
Low speed
- Misses often especially if matched against high speed tanks like Nightmare and Serpent Eld.
- Reverse Speed matches negates this though.
Conclusion:
Despite its shortcomings, Grum Fireblade is one of the best carry cards so far in the Chaos Legion series.
Especially when you match it with certain rulesets, such as Reverse Speed, Equal Opportunity or Super Sneak.
It is also an amazing match with Tarsa and Scavo Hireling, which are starter cards free to be played by newcomers.
All in all, Grum is a carry card that is in my opinion, game changing.
We will definitely see the demand and price increase as the hype increases.
What do you think? Let me know if you agree or disagree!
Below are some of the matches I have had with Grum in the short time I had him.
