The fantasia designates various traditional equestrian shows simulating military assaults, practiced mainly in the Maghreb, where it is called "game of powder" or "game of horses".
Very old practice, it usually takes the form of equestrian evolutions in which riders, equipped with black powder guns and riding richly harnessed mounts, simulate a cavalry charge whose apotheosis is the coordinated shooting of a salvo of their guns.
