Alright friends…@seattlea joins us this week. He has been on chain since August 2021. He is a numbers guy, and his posts are where he shows his work.

There's Splinterlands. He came in during the 2021 boom and stayed through the bust, and he tracked every bit of it. The card market falling from $280 million to under $45 million. Daily players dropping from 450,000 to about 4,000. And yet he is still here, three seasons straight in the Modern top 50, publishing his own card win rates. When a proposal came up to cap scholar accounts, he answered with a counterproposal of his own: don't restrict the ecosystem to fix the leaderboard, fix the leaderboard.

There's the infrastructure. He launched his Hive witness in early 2025 on the cloud, then moved it onto his own hardware for more control and less cost. He runs an SPS validator too. His witness tagline says it plainly: a witness that never powers his Hive down.

And there's the day job showing up on chain. A software engineer since 1999, now telling Hive that manual coding is dead. Not sure if that effects many of us, in the end your average joe just wants the app to work and the code is just the Voodoo gibberish behind it. He just started an agentic AI series on getting real work out of these tools without burning through your subscription. Plan with the expensive model, build with the cheap one.
