Aside the official language, While growing up the first language i was taught in school was french, it was fun learning the days of the week, the month of the year, numbers and also how to greet in french but it ended abruptly...The french teacher stopped coming for reasons best known to the school management and that was also the end of us kids learning french but some of the things we learnt stick to our memory till date as we were taught some in songs format....
The one language that i am keen to learn is Hindi I am a big fan of Bollywood and i have been watching their movie for a long period of time, you can say i started watching India movies the moment i was born because i landed in a family of bollywood fans.....
I realized no matter how interesting an India movie may be, if they do not translate it, i would never watch it because i am not for just fighting scenes in movie, i want to understand the story and everything and most times i prefer watching their love films than the actions... So i lost interest whenever it is not subtitled in english as i do not understand their language...
I understand some of their single words like mother, son, love, come, go and short words like that but i can't comprehend their full sentence so learning the language would make subtitles unnecessary anymore...
If you check my music list, it is 70 percent hindi songs...
I love their love songs and the fact that i have watched the movies of those songs helps in giving it an interpretation but even aside that, their melodious tune and sweet voice appease the soul
Learning their language would help me to understand their lyrics better rather than just vibing to their beats and tune...
The first time i heard their National Anthem, My head was swelling up, just so interesting and it seems i will be visiting india someday so i need to understand their language in order to be able to vibe with my friends and people over there....
