Small Step Big Step !. This is my daughter's drawing, she's still 3,8 years old. Surprisingly she able to write her name "lovely" completely. 6 moth ago she just able to write Lily. When I teach her write "Lovely" She has difficulties write "V", the shape she made like letter "U". I remember just twice teach her write "Lovely" but she's keep trying and independently take her marker and paper to practice...... that is the result, really proud of her !.
Here are some tips for me :
before hold any crayon make sure she has enough stimulation in fine motor, because that is the basic . avoid too much give your kids gadget, that's only lazy her muscle
Use crayon or marker to raise her interest in writing .
Let her explore with crayon and make any doodle. Be careful with your furniture :)
If she already interest, try to give her tracing....start with straight line , then curve line, and make it vary. Increase the challenge until tracing a simple picture like shapes, house, etc.
You can try trace her name in big size...., slowly make it smaller
Now try her to copy what you write, letter per letter or line per line.
Then...let them practice with their own way, kids have their own style in drawing and writing, same like adult.
Be patient and do not set target too high

Don't forget to pay attention with your kid reaction , if your kids happy then you can increase the challenge, if not try another things. Never compare your kids with others, Every kids are unique and have their own interest, They are precious !!
