Last night we took my oldest son to see some Christmas lights. There's a botanical garden on the farther end of the city that decorates all of the grounds during Christmas. They really go all out decorating, so it's a nice treat to walk through and see it all.
The grounds are pretty extensive. A lot of the trees and bushes are lit up in very creative ways.
They even had a small candy cane forest! 馃榿
There was a lot more I should've taken pictures of, but my son insisted on running everywhere, so about halfway through I had to stop and focus on keeping him from running into people.
We finished the night getting hot cocoa and cookies, then headed home to warm up. It was a great evening, and I'm grateful to all the work the staff put in to make it all happen. There were a lot of happy, smiling faces and I know we made some great memories to look back on.
