Talking about goals; you know the saying that when you have a problem, accepting and knowing you have a problem is the first step to the solution of that problem? Well setting goals is the first step to realization of dreams!

It's not just enough to say that you want to achieve something, that does nothing! I mean, it's not just enough to say I'll get that car when am 22 or I'll have my own firm at 24, the main thing is; how to you intend to achieve these things or are they merely wishful thinking?

Well, setting goals is very important to dream realization. We have to write down steps to follow in order to achieve our dreams and we have to follow these steps! Make rules that'll help groom us for the future and follow them!

Setting goals doesn't imply that there would be no failures… in fact setting goals and not achieving your desired result shows you how not to go about it! Yes! It teaches you ways these desires shouldn't be worked on and allows you move on to other ideas!

Before you set goals however you have to believe that whatever it is you desire is attainable, you can't be unsure of your dreams and have it work for you! Also you have to trust in your process and stay focused on the work to be done! When creating goals you have to outline objectives that will help and allow you achieve those goals and in creating that you have to make sure certain things are in place;

Let your goal be fixed: What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Be specific! Don't beat about the bush or get an alternative goal, be precise, fixed, certain and distinct

Place a success measurement: what signifies the goal accomplishment? How do you tell that you have achieved what you want? Place an achievement in order to know when you've reached your destination!

Time-bound: When do you want to achieve the goal?

Action and responsibility; here is where you outline the steps you'll actively be engaged in to achieve your goals…

There are different kind of goals; personal, professional, financial, emotional, etc. No matter what kind of goal you're trying to achieve it takes hardwork and discipline; only then can they be achieved!
