Fungi Friday Findings
While dropping off some walnuts for the cute squirrels that live across my balcony Joy made a discovery.
He was rushing down to check out a group of mushrooms that he spotted with his eagle eyes.
Thinking about dinner already Joy sniffed to see if those fungi were edible.
He checked the bottom and took a closer look at the top.
Not sure about the edibility of his finding he walked away. Something else caught his attention and mushrooms aren't Joys favorite food anyway. To be honest he never ate a single mushroom but I give him credit for trying. He is such a goofball lol.
Joy got distracted by a colorful piece of something. First he thought that it is one of his frisbee leftovers, wondering how it ended up in the woods. But sure enough he realized that it was a fungi. 'Crazy shit' he was thinking.
It felt rubbery and the color was tempting but Joy was smart enough to leave it alone. On the way home he was wondering what the difference between a fungi and a mushroom is. I couldn't answer but maybe you can? ;)
