And here is the problem.

We have a group of people who are indoctrinated, convinced that modern materialistic science is correct. They will do anything to defend it. They will not talk to, work with nor debate anyone outside of their sect.

Scientism is a religion.
"There is no God", so everything is a clock that is running down.

However, so much evidence shows that this is not the case.

You already mentioned Rupert Sheldrake. Lots of good stuff there.
Then start looking into Electric Universe theory/models
You can also look into flat earth models.

I do not believe in the flat earth, but their evidence has disproven the ball earth model for me.
So, we really do not have much of idea of where we actually stand.
But the first thing is to get science back on the right track.
