It’s about as non-click-bait-ey a post title as you can get and I apologise for making a boring post, but if you’re interested in this project then the info is going here – on the blockchain – for the records if nothing else.
About 15 days ago I let everyone know that I was Reviewing Precious Hive Power Leases and it took a little bit longer than I thought it would because a few people needed to take stock and I also wanted to track down one of our long term community supporters @sevinwilson. I think it had been over 4 years since he’d been active on the Hive blockchain...so that was kind of cool to get back in touch and I’m very grateful that he was willing to power up all those lease payments that we’ve made to him over those 4 years and upgrade his lease.
The latest Powerdown of the @ssg-community account is a few weeks in already but it’s currently yielding about 573.472 Liquid Hive per week. I’ve now balanced out our leases so that they cost us 573.86 Hive per week. That effectively balances our budget once again and so our current Hive Power for the Community Curation Project is sitting at about 305K. With a balanced budget we will be able to maintain that Hive Power for the next couple of months or so. A breakdown of our off-market leases is below :-
On a more personal level, members might notice that I have myself significantly reduced my own lease to the Community Curation Project. There are couple of reasons for this. I have some big decisions to make over the latter half of this year and if I do need to liquidate some stake I don’t want that to impact on the project.
I also think that it’s healthy for the project to have a more decentralised pool of lessors rather than be heavily dependant on my stake as has been the case in the past. There is also the possibility that we will fundraise again at some point and if my circumstances are conducive then I’ll be able to ramp the project power right back up very quickly by again using my own stake.
Overall, Precious is in good shape and on behalf of everyone involved in the SGS community I’d like to thank all of our Hive Lessors both from inside and outside of the SGS community. It’s great to be able to build goodwill and relationships with real Hivians who understand and appreciate what we’re trying to do.
THANK YOU
