A short while ago I adjusted the Daily Vote Weight Allocations for Precious - the SGS Community Curator. As mentioned in my recent post about it, this measure is to help the Voting Power recover on the @ssg-community account and has amounted to a 10% reduction in the Vote Weights given out by Precious when she Curates.
As I am writing this post the Voting Power on @ssg-community is sitting at about 82% and while there is often less activity from SGS content creators over the weekend (which helps it recover) I am optimistic that we now can hold the Voting Power consistently above that 80% mark in the medium term. We have also just added another Lease to
@ssg-community so our Hive Power to vote with is now over 340K. With the HIVE price where it is today, a 100% vote from Precious is currently worth about $4.67 – substantially higher than where it was just a couple of months ago. This is all good!
I’m expecting that some of our members might be confused by the change in Vote Weights that they receive on their posts, however. Particularly our long standing Gold Sponsors who have been posting daily for years now. These great people have been the backbone for our SGS Curation Project for a long time and they’re probably accustomed to just getting full support on every post. These authors will likely keep their posting schedule as it is for the most part, but if they do want to manage their post rate there is a good tool in the SGS Community Discord that can help them maximize the votes they receive.
Precious has a bot presence in the SGS Discord that our sponsors can use to check their accumulated vote in real time. All you need to do is use the command /status <your_username> and you will get a response that looks like the screenshot below :-
You can see there the Vote Charge that has been accumulating since your last post along with your Sponsorship Tier and whether you have any Precious Gem credited on your account. I’ve also posted the updated Sponsorship Tiers in the #hive-tiers-and-upvote-percentages channel and pinned it for easy reference.
Please feel free to reach out to me in the SGS Discord if you have any questions or concerns about these changes. HIVE ON!
