Every enemy object destroyed by our forces brings victory closer. Recently, a new case of successful counteraction against enemy drones was reported: a Ukrainian helicopter shot down an Iranian Shahed kamikaze drone using its onboard machine gun.
This incident demonstrates the high skill of Ukrainian pilots, who are capable of hitting targets even in challenging conditions. Despite the speed and maneuverability of the drone, the pilots were able to react in time, aim, and eliminate the threat.
The use of onboard machine guns to combat drones is becoming increasingly relevant on the battlefield, especially considering the ongoing threat from Iranian Shaheds, which Russia is actively deploying in its war against Ukraine. Shooting down an enemy drone from a helicopter also highlights the adaptability of Ukrainian military personnel to the new challenges they face.
This is yet another example of how Ukraine, using its own resources and skills, continues to fight the aggressor on all fronts.
