Every week, I am going to do this series where I learn about the world as well as Steemit. I will be searching out the difference between two things or ideas.
This week I am looking for the difference between comments and replies on Steemit.
From what I have found, a comment is any remark expressing an opinion on a topic. In our case, a topic is a Steemit post. A comment is any public, direct opinion to any Steemit post.
If that is a comment, what is a reply?
A reply is any response to what someone has said. This can be anything, as long as it is directed at the person who posted the original idea, whether it be a post, message, or comment.
A comment can be a reply, and vice versa.
A comment is the response on a post, which could be directed toward the original author or the audience, whereas a reply is something said specifically to the author of something, a post or another comment.
If you still don't get it, my examples will be in the comments section.
If you look at your Steemit profile, there are two tabs, comments and replies, along with some others. The comments tab will show any comments you have made, where as the replies tab will show any replies that have been made to you.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, upvote if this helped you, downvote if you didn't like it, follow me for more random posts that may or may not be crap, give me advice on how I can make better posts, look at other posts in this series at #thedifferencebetween (this is the first one, so there might not be any right away), or do literally anything you want. You're done reading my post, why should I keep you any longer.
