A few years ago, I said that the best times of my life were during my childhood and adolescence, and many people say the same, especially those who had a wonderful childhood and adolescence. But this isn't true. The truth is, when I remember those stages of my life, I tend to get sad because, although there was a lot of magic and love at home, at school I learned all the negative things that I see around me today on a larger scale. It seems that adult life isn't to everyone's liking, and even I've found myself caught in that dilemma. But of course, we become the masters of our own destinies once we start earning a living. In conclusion, life is beautiful; the good times will always be there, and so will the bad.

Hace unos años decía que los mejores tiempos fueron en mi infancia y adolescencia, y muchos dicen lo mismo, especialmente quienes tuvieron una infancia y una adolescencia hermosa. Pero esto no es cierto, la verdad es que cuando recuerdo esas etapas de mi vida suelo ponerme triste, porque aunque en casa hubo mucha magia y amor, en el colegio aprendía todas las cosas negativas que hoy veo a mi al rededor a nivel macro. Pareciera que la vida adulta no es del agrado de todos, y hasta yo mismo me he visto envuelto en ese dilema, pero claro, pasamos a ser los dueños de nuestros propios destinos una vez que comenzamos a ganarnos la vida en el trabajo. Pero en conclusión, la vida es hermosa, los buenos momentos siempre estarán, los malos momentos también.

There was a beautiful part of my life, and that was my 20s. When you're a young adult just starting to work in a field you love, earn your own income, and be captivated by romance, everything is an uphill battle. In childhood and adolescence, you're promised you can do anything, and that's the stage to put it into practice. We lived through a very extreme situation in our country—you know how that ended—but I admire all the people my age who are happy because we saw how the country we knew in the 90s, when we were children, died during our adolescence and young adulthood. I don't know how it is in other places, but here it seems that nostalgia for life before 2000 leads people to believe they can no longer achieve what they set out to do, and I think that's completely false. In my particular case, turning 30 showed me the worst side of the world and humanity. Illness, betrayal, and death came into my life... Terrible... But at the same time, my true love appeared in my life, I achieved my professional goals, and I overcame the toughest lessons, which have taught me so much that the second half of my 30s has become my second great moment in life.

Hubo una parte hermosa en mi vida, y esos fueron mis 20's. Cuando eres un joven adulto que apenas comienza a trabajar en lo que le gusta, a percibir sus propios ingresos y a dejarse cautivar por los romances entonces todo va cuesta arriba. En la infancia y adolescencia te prometen que puedes hacerlo todo, y esa es la etapa para ponerlo en práctica. Nosotros tuvimos una situación país muy extrema, ya saben como terminó eso, pero admiro a todas las personas de mi edad que son felices, porque vimos como el país que conocimos en los noventas cuando éramos niños fue muriendo en nuestra adolescencia y en nuestros años de jóvenes adultos. No sé cómo será en otros lugares, pero aquí parece que la nostalgia por la vida antes de los 2000 confunde a las personas de que ya no pueden lograr lo que se proponen, y creo que esto es totalmente falso. En mi caso particular, la llegada de mis 30's me hizo ver el peor rostro del mundo y de la humanidad. Llegó a mi vida la enfermedad, la traición, la muerte... Terrible... Pero al mismo tiempo mi verdadero amor se hizo presente en mi vida, logré mis objetivos como profesional y superé las lecciones más duras, las cuales me han dejado un aprendizaje que me ha hecho tan fuerte que la segunda parte de los 30's se ha convertido en mi segundo gran momento de la vida.

I don't know if I'll reach my 40s, much less what they feel like, although many friends say it's also a beautiful stage of life, and that's why I think all of life is beautiful. If God allows me to live that moment, I only know that right now I'm giving my best so that that stage is also wonderful, and in retrospect it seems I also did things right in my 20s, although without planning it and without thinking much about the future consequences (that's why you should always do good and do everything with a lot of love)... Today, Throwback Thursday, I wanted to share these photos from a special day in 2010. I clearly remember it was November 12th, because it was my cousin's birthday, who appears in the last photo of this post, the day after my dad's birthday. I was coming from a concert, that's why I was wearing my white shirt, and that same day I went to work, went to the gym, and went to my English class. Everything was possible; I was 22 years old, but now that I'm 36, I conclude once again that everything is possible. With a different mindset, married and living in another city, but with a book full of blank pages ready to continue writing my story, and best of all, eager to discover what's to come 🙏

No sé si llegaré a los 40's y mucho menos sé como se sienten, aunque según muchos amigos también es una etapa bonita, y por eso pienso que toda la vida es hermosa. Si Dios me permite vivir ese momento, solo sé que justo ahora estoy dando lo mejor de mí para que esa etapa también sea maravillosa, y en retrospectiva parece que también hice las cosas bien en los 20's, aunque sin planificarlo y sin pensar mucho en las consecuencias a futuro (por eso siempre hay que obrar bien y hacer todo con mucho amor)... Hoy, Jueves de #TBT, quise compartir estas fotografías de un día especial en 2010, recuerdo claramente que era 12 de Noviembre, porque estábamos en el cumpleaños de mi primo que sale en la última foto de este post, un día después del cumpleaños de mi papá. Venía de un concierto, por eso tenía mi camisa blanca, y ese mismo día fui a trabajar, fui al gym y fui a mi curso de inglés. Todo era posible, tenía 22 años, pero ahora que tengo 36 concluyo nuevamente que todo es posible. Con otra mentalidad, casado y viviendo en otra ciudad, pero con un libro con muchas páginas en blanco listas para seguir escribiendo mi historia, y lo mejor de todo, con muchas ganas de descubrir lo que viene 🙏
