What do the weather and laptops have in common?
They are both prone to unseasonal and inconvenient freeze. My laptop has been faulty. For months - despite the objections and invoices of the professionals. Apparently the memory had a glitch which caused inexplicable frozen screens and ultimately a full on revolt! It also resulted in spontaneous hibernation from Hive. Here's hoping the latest outrageous invoice also means that I'm back online .... at least to savour the sweet Spring blossoms.
Our homestead is a buzz of new life. But not without the exit of the old. Despite cheerful weather forecasts of sunny skies it is usually dreary and chilly. Our solar system is still suffering the winter blues. And the unexpected gale force winds have caused a confetti of Spring blosssoms to scatter across the countryside. This is not good news for the anticipated fruit.
The ever busy sunbirds and honey bees are a constant source of hope and life. They are not confined by inaccurate weather forecasts. And they inspire us to press on and overcome.
The aloes were a spectacular display this year. As we see the last petal fall the fruit and nut trees fill the air with their blossoms sweet fragrance. Ah. Look up!
The only forecast the weather bureau gets right; is yesterday's weather. But we are not dictated to or limited by their inaccurate predictions. We press on. One step in front of the other. If it is only one step today. Then it is a step more than yesterday. One spade full of dirt. Another sweat dotted brow. All over life presses on, presses in. The whisper of hope ripples over the mountainside and it is louder than the gale force winds that threaten to tear the world apart.
