For those with rose coloured glasses, don't read my post, you'll be in for a reality check. Politics is about my least favourite topic. But there's no denying the horror of what is happening in this country. South Africa is being destroyed by the thugs who run our government. I do not often post about the nightmare. When I do there is inevitably some smart-alec who, while never having set foot in South Africa, consider themselves an authority on the country, the history and the political situation. @breezin, who is in the thick of it compared to me, has really taken flack. Not only is her farm on the chopping block, but she has lost loved ones to the murderous masses and has a daily fight for her life and home. The milder comment "whites are getting what they deserve" not only expresses ignorance but total lack of compassion. Despite what many international readers may think this is not modern day Robin Hood. It is not about taking from the rich to give to the poor. This is not an issue of black versus white. It is an issue of righteous versus wicked. It is not right for the leader's of a country to insight violence and theft of land and inheritance. For those rabble that have succeeded in murdering the people and stealing their land this is what follows:
These are before and after shots of a once magnificent citrus plantation. You will notice that with the eviction (probable murder) of the white landowners those that took over have come in like the devouring locust Scripture speaks of. Their object only to steal, rob and destroy. While they call it "land expropriation without compensation" and blatantly lie to the UN and international courts, the leaders of the country, headed by the president himself, are crying "Kill the Boer, Kill the Farmer".
If only their objective were to provide housing, education, jobs and yes, equal opportunity for all. But it is not. They murder, rape and pillage then move on. Not only does a family lose their farm and livelihood - often their lives - but numerous families who live and work there are also without home and jobs. And here's the catch. Usually these employees are black. So you see, it is not simply about the black people taking from the whites to share among their people. The objective of the black elite is destruction, and they don't care what the casualties are. Black. White. Women. Children. Aged. So farms are being destroyed. People lose homes and jobs. And quickly the country is without food as the farmers have been killed and the abandoned farms no longer supply the market, both national and international.
Years ago I watched in horror the documentary made by a South African journalist who illegally smuggled himself and his hidden camera into and then out of Zimbabwe. He narrowly escaped with his life. He interviewed and filmed the destitute farmers of once magnificent plantations. He interviewed the employees who were destitute following the murder of their white employer. He filmed burned shells of farm houses. He filmed what remained of once great plantations; tea, tobacco, citrus, cotton. The most disturbing part was the horrific torturing and killing of innocent wild life. It was so visually disturbing that it still haunts me. It happened to Zimbabwe. When Zimbabwe saw it happen to Zambia they never thought it would happen to them. We never believed it would happen to civilized South Africa. But it has. And there is ample proof. I only hope and pray that it will stop before the country is totally destroyed.
