BTCMEX took part in the 2nd Global Blockchain Industry and Entrepreneurs Summit in Fuzhou, China. The event was organized by the Talent Exchange Center of Ministry of Information Technology and hosted by the Municipal People’s Government of Fujian Province, the Fujian Provincial Department of Information Technology, the Leading Digital Construction Group, the Fujian Federation of Enterprises and Entrepreneurs, and Fuzhou Big Data Center. The summit was sponsored by the People’s Government of Changle District, Fujian Blockchain Association, East Lake Digital Town, Shanglian Technology, Fuzhou New District Group, and Chairman International.
The CTO of the Hengxin Research Institute of BTCMEX, Jiang Zhiming, and the Marketing Director of BTCMEX, Kerel Verwaerde, were invited to take part in the conference, where Jiang Zhiming presented his keynote speech “How blockchain can improve the efficiency of the government”. The event brought together more than 1,200 industry leaders and government officials of Fujian Province.

The Vice-Governor of Fujian Province, Guo Ningning, highlighted that integration of blockchain plays a significant part in technological development and industrial transformation, following the position of the President, Xi Jinping, who emphasized on the importance of blockchain earlier this year. He admitted that the technology is an important breakthrough, which needs to be studied and clarified, he also urged to increase the investment in studies and innovations.
To implement the strategy, Fujian Province of China issued the “Guidelines on Acceleration and Development of the Digital Economy” to encourage blockchain implementation in the industry, and promote the technology in the governmental sector, asset management, and social services. With the growing popularity of blockchain, the key functions and implementation scenarios were explained in detail.

In his speech, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of IT, Xin Chen, presented blockchain as a technology, that may change the delivery of core values and play a significant part in the society. He also talked about the importance of industrial development.
Xin Chen pointed out the two problems in the industry. In his opinion, the demand of industrial development is not aligned with the development of enterprises, which leads to a lack of talent training, caused by the rapid market development.
Li Lihui, the former Governor of Bank of China
The former Governor of Bank of China, Li Lihui, said that China is a country that possesses huge computing power and handles large data but lacks of algorithms to process it.“We have a large population and many enterprises, information and behavior patterns, China handles an enormous amount of economic transactions, which makes it the world’s largest information pool. With blockchain, it is possible to build the world’s most complete database”.
He also said that China started investing in core digital projects relatively late, that’s why it lacks underlying technology now. Nevertheless, the country is the largest player in the digital tech industry, and soon will be a commercial competitor with the most advanced technologies. He also talked about the trust algorithm implementation in analyzing big data and data mining.

The CTO of Hengxin Research Institute of BTCMEX, Jiang Zhiming, expressed that we were all fortunate to live in the era of the Internet and technology, which significantly improved the quality of today’s life.
Nowadays technologies, like AI, blockchain, big data, create new possibilities, help to find holistic solutions and improve the efficiency of task-solving every day.
Defining blockchain, Jiang Zhiming emphasized on the technology’s value in creating trust. “We know that blockchain brings such breakthroughs as distributed data, multi-party verification, encryption, block-structure, smart contracts, and more. All these technologies guarantee data security and have already earned trust. Moreover, the technology can be applied in many different industries, which for sure will bring them to a new more advanced level in the future.”
Blockchain has been successfully applied in the financial field. As for now, the technology is still in its early stage of development, but it’s gaining more popularity in the industries and society. Implementing blockchain in governmental affairs is the main focus of national information sector development. On the governmental level, the application of blockchain is mainly focused on building public trust through transparency and efficiency.
Blockchain technology has already won its grounds in electronic contracts, real estate, commercial registration, tendering, social security, and other sectors. Jiang Zhiming believes that blockchain will only grow and find more implementations in the future.
