I've started to dip my toe in the cryptocurrency pool with my first step. So I have created an account with Cryptopia. I chose Cryptopia because living in New Zealand means we haven't got a wide range of choices when it comes to cryptocurrency exchanges.
Having done that I have made my first deposit so that I can start trading. I am starting with $250 as I want to start small and this is an amount that I can afford to lose. But don't get me wrong, I don't want to lose a cent of the $250, it's just that me and the family won't starve if the money gets lost in the crypto whirlpool.
It's all about risk and reward and while the risk is there and real, the potential reward can be huge, especially at this time of the cryptocurrency cycle. For those of us who get in now, we're still at the beginning.
So now my next step is to get my head into research mode and sift through a few of the altcoins that are out there and hopefully choose the next Bitcoin, or even just the next Litecoin, or something in between, because there's an awful lot of profit in between those two coins!
