Hey Splinterlands friends
One of the major concerns within the Splinterlands community is the presence of bots. These automated programs are causing a significant decrease in the value of our cards. It's disheartening to see that if you invest $10,000 in cards, you can only earn around $1-2 per day while playing. This amount is after deducting the costs for the required SPS . On the other hand, in liquidity pools, you can earn approximately $8-11 per day with the same investment.
So why should we continue investing in cards that are harder to sell and require an additional 6% fee? Is it worth it for just 30 minutes of gameplay per day?
Tokens from liquidity pools can be directly withdrawn and sold without any fees.
The reason behind this stark difference in earnings could potentially be attributed to the ten times more of farmbots compared to actual players who suck to our reward pool.
It's disheartening to realize that we earn almost ten times less while playing compared to what we could earn from liquidity pools.
And if playing the game no longer makes sense, the entire system loses its purpose. Without a valuable game, we are left with a token that holds no real value. In that case, we might as well just stake a meme coin and not bother with Splinterlands at all.
The essence of Splinterlands lies in its unique gameplay and the potential for players to earn rewards through skill and strategy. However, with the prevalence of bots and the significant disparity in earnings between playing and liquidity pools, this essence is being undermined.
It is crucial for the Splinterlands team to address this issue promptly and find effective solutions to combat bots. Only by ensuring a fair and rewarding gaming environment can we restore confidence in the system and maintain the value of our cards. Let us work together to preserve the integrity of Splinterlands and create an enjoyable experience for all players.
