Ornamental plants are used in homes to enhance the beautify of our surroundings.
Many ornamental plants are chosen because they smell nice. Some fragrant plants prove beneficial in the sense that they prevent outdoor pests such as ants, mosquitoes and flies from entering one's living room.
Without plants we wouldn't have clean air to breathe because plants create oxygen during photosynthesis.
Photosynthesis is the process whereby plants manufacture their own food through the use of sunlight. Plants take in carbon dioxide as food and release clean oxygen which is very helpful to humans.
Pruning is simply removing dead and dying parts of a plant or tree thereby allowing room for new growth.
Weed Prevention – Keeping weeds out is another part of effectively caring for your ornamentals. Weeds can compete with plants for water and nutrients in the soil.
Disease and Pest Control – During your ornamental care process, you will have to encourage healthy plants to grow and prevent the chance of damage from pests or diseases.
