There are numerous documentaries describing the similarities of the Roman Empire and the US Empire, and that's because the similarities are numerous.
Rome Fell because of a combination of Internal and External factors. The empire was so big and covered so much territory, that the cost to maintain military order was too much, and the constant fringe attacks by "barbarian" armies wore down on the Empires ability to maintain itself. The economy of the Roman empire was unsustainable. When you hear of a currency being debased, this comes from the Roman Empires practice of removing the base metals like silver and gold from their coins, and replacing with copper and bronze. From real money to fiat currency. Internally, the common people (plebs) of Rome became poor, relying on grain welfare programs for food and circuses to keep the people entertained so they wouldn't unite and rise up against their corrupt rulers.
The US today has military bases across the globe. The US enforces safe trade around the globe, as well as military incursions into territories that pose a threat to this world order. Like the barbarians of the Roman times, nations at the fringes of US control constantly wage combat against the Empire, even conducting large scale terror attacks from time to time. This death by a thousand cuts has pushed the US empire over the course of many decades to debase its currency into 100% fiat in order to maintain the global Empire. The US economy is unsustainable long-term, and many people under the umbrella of the Empire are now poor and in some cases very desperate. The current riots in the US surrounding the ever-looming police brutality and murder of minorities are not an anomaly, but rather an escalation to the bleeding Empire and all under its umbrella. Politicians around the globe under this world order are appeasing the masses by flooding the system with currency, while the food supplies begin to dwindle in many places.
Make no mistake, history often repeats or rhymes with itself. Human nature is the same now as it was 2000 years ago, and the outcome will be similar. The fall of the US won't happen overnight. You won't turn on the news one day and hear about the sudden collapse. Rather, at some point people will look back in hindsight and realize the the collapse has occurred. This realization is probably years away for your average US Citizen, but for the rest of the world we already see it unfolding. Some still believe that the Corona Virus is to blame for it all, but anyone with a functioning brain was well aware of the systemic slow collapse underway in the current world order. Empires fall.. it's not if they do, but when. How they collapse is always the same. The core of the empire is hollowed out from within until the structure collapses on itself.
By the time this occurs, if its not already occurring as I write this, other strong nations will already be taking control financially and militarily. You won't see this occurring in broad daylight. You will simply one day see EU, Asian, African and Middle eastern nations all shaking hands on TV and celebrating the new coming prosperity for the world. The old order will continue to rot and the US will likely split into smaller countries as the divide between political poles is too great to consolidate the differences.
While this post is grim and dark, its just the reality of human history and how things have always been, and how they will likely be. You can either anticipate these events and plan accordingly, or be caught sleeping on the beach when the tide comes in to bury you in poverty and distress. I believe it's important to be cognizant of the times you are living in, and right now we are in the times of revolution and rebirth. If you're wealthy and well to do today, then this doesn't bode well for you. If you're poor today, then opportunity is at the door knocking for you.
Thanks for dropping by.
