Just about everything in the universe is cyclical. Life, weather, systems, the cosmos, you name it, there's always a cycle.
Society itself has cycles. One of these cycles involves the overall outlook we have towards others in society.
When society is in the negative phase of this cycle, everyone is focused on what others are doing wrong. The opposite is true during a Positive phase in the cycle, where people look for the good in others and lift up those who are successful or doing something good.
Guess which phase of the cycle we are in right now?
Politicians can do nothing right. Read through political articles here on Hive, or elsewhere, and everyone with a voice is heaping hot coals on someone else's head. Politicians are criminals, people with different political views are idiots, and everyone believes they know how to fix things.
If you read between the lines, you can see that people are just plain fed up with something that is affecting their life in a negative way, and searching for the root cause of the imbalance.
This is why I would never get involved in politics at this time, as anything good you do will be overshadowed by the fear and paranoia of public opinion and conspiracy theories. People aren't happy in general, and not just recently because of the pandemic, but the sentiment was present before that since the 1990's.
The 1980's was probably the last decade of positive sentiment, but that was when people started to get squeezed financially, and by the 90's the fiat monetary system was already having consequences.
I've said it recently in the past few months, and I'll say it again, we're most likely headed towards war on the world stage. Likely not this year or the next, but the squeeze is on and the negative momentum being created needs an outlet. People are looking for someone or something to blame their problems on, and many of them don't put much effort in figuring out what the problem actually is, and so they blame schools, or they blame politicians, or they blame banks, or they blame people who they disagree with.
The truth is, you need only to look in the mirror to see the source. We're a social animal, and prone to herd mentality. This negative cycle will pass at some point, and we'll start lifting each other up once again instead of acting like crabs in a bucket, pulling each other down.
Thanks for dropping by.
