Adventures in Crafting - Wire Wrapping

I am a very creative person and have many different hobbies/crafts I'm interested in. One thing I have always wanted to learn to do is wire wrap. Well, @hippie-witha-gun and I met some new friends at our favorite local food truck/bazaar, The Green Goat, where local artists sell their wares. They collect and sell crystals and wire wrap some of them for jewelry. They gave us a couple, and I bought a nice piece of citrine that was wire wrapped as a memorial for the baby girl I miscarried almost 2 years ago. Her birthstone would have been the same as mine - citrine. After looking at it, I taught myself how to do it. The top isn't very pretty, but I got the basics down. Now I just need to play with it and customize it with my own flare. Here is my first ever attempt at wire wrapping:
