HI friends,
I am an avid fan of the Discovery channel show, Gold Rush, where it follows a few crews on their hunt for gold.
There have been a number of seasons, and I used to watch them more regularly, but with young kids to take care of and manage, there is not much time for recreational TV watching.
However, I did take the liberty to put it on tonight while my kids were hanging out with me before dinner. I wanted them to see it for a little and my son is always interested in heavy equipment, so I knew he would be hooked.
Sure enough, they enjoyed the episode we watched!

One downside was the cussing - while the f-bombs and shits are bleeped, the damn-its and asses are not, so they heard some colorful language we try not to expose them to that often, lol. Teaching moment right…
The other downside was them making fun of how much gold I get compared to those crews on the show. I believe the exact comment was “wow, that’s a lot of gold… way more than you get, Dad”. Lol.
