I found some giant gold nuggets today.... at the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles! Hehe! Here are a few pics:

I scheduled a vacation day and we went to the museum and I was very impressed by their mineral and gem displays - quite impressive! They even had an area inside a large vault with special items on display:
The gold was fun for me of course, but the kids liked the dinosaurs and pretty much everything else more. We had a good time:
A fun day of learning for the kids and a motivating day for me looking at all the gold! I have self diagnosed myself with gold fever right now so I think the only cure is to go out and find some for myself....
