Purposeful Decision Making

Asking yourself the hard questions isn't something everyone is ready to do. Why have to listen to some hard news if you can distract yourself with other tasks? I've found that this is easy to do. In fact if you're not careful, you're probably doing this in some way or another. I know because I'm guilty myself.

The best way that I've found to stay on track is to set measurable targets along the way. We have to get good at making decisions with deadlines associated with them. The better you get at decision making the more decisions you get to make.

Set some goals in your calendar and stick to them. Start easy. The goal is to make sure something gets accomplished each day with purpose. Set your lifestyle goals. Write them down on paper and build your daily routine around how you want to live.

Formulate strategies for common occurrences. You don't plan in disruptions but you must have a predetermined way to handle common occurrences. This is a as simple as have a plan b ready to go. If a situation gets out of hand and becomes an uncommon occurrence then it's possible to adjust. Flexibility is key in any setup that has long-term staying power.

Importance Of Lifestyle

Let's all face it, aren't your decisions being made based on the lifestyle you want to live? I understand that bad circumstances exist and not everything works out that way it should, but most of us reading this blog post have certain opportunities that others have never had.

I encourage everyone to think about what is important to them down to the smallest details. Write down a unique proposition that you can clearly explain to another human being what you stand for and what they will get by associating with you. This will help communication and relationship building.

Don't Sacrifice Your Happiness Today

Stop living for tomorrow and make sure that you are getting what's important to you on a daily basis. Life isn't worth living in some other time. You only live in the present. Take advantage of simple planning techniques to support a healthy living in the now attitude.

Put happiness into your schedule each day! :-)

What things keep you in the now?

Let me know what you think!
