I just passed the 500 follower mark in my 3rd month on Steemit! Super excited to keep rolling and get another 500. I really believe in the STEEM ecosystem with Steemit being the home base. There may be many great new applications that come out in the coming years that are much more user friendly and ready for the masses, but Steemit will remain a solid platform for blogging. I've heard recently that one of the biggest objections of the platform from influencers on other platforms is the lack of traffic on Steemit. It's hard to compare the size of the audience on Facebook and Youtube compared to Steemit. However, with Steemit cracking the top 1000 global websites, it won't be long before the SEO provided by Steemit will be unmatched. Blogging isn't for everyone, but it will be sometime before a better platform exists that rewards content creators and curators in a more aligned way. Also, remember that your steem power is and investment in STEEM. When new applications do well using the STEEM blockchain, that will only mean great things for your steem power account balance.
