The Bible clearly tells us that God is a jealous God. He wants us to worship only Him. When someone prays to idols made by human hands, they are not honoring the true God. That act pulls them far from Him. Light and darkness cannot mix, and idol worship is darkness.
Some people think idol worship only means bowing to statues or images. But Bro. Eli reminds us that it can also mean putting anything above God. When we love material things more than God, or focus more on worldly things than spiritual ones, we are giving those things the place that belongs to God.
