have you looked into light dep growing? faster grow but outside, plus its kept hidden under a green house canopy(plastic tarps). You can control things better, keep bugs out easier and they don't get fried by the sun. Folks out here in Cali do the outdoor light dep a lot to make sea of greens possible without all the electricity usage.
