Ya it can grow outdoors, but then you run the risk of bugs and animals getting into it. Also it is more exposed so more eyes can see it which isn't good if you are trying to keep it a secret. The weather here is also not the best for it. It is way too hot. Inside I can control everything and make the conditions ideal.
