So I have been using Steemit now for nearly a month and I absolutely love it. Its vastly different (and better) than any of the social media sites that I have used over the years; and its not just because of the financial attributes. I find that more or less, real content is being shared on here because people have more of a vested interested in how well their content is perceived.
And while I love the platform I did have some suggestions that may (or may not) help improve the overall experience.
*One of the things that makes Steemit so rewarding is the collaboration between authors and curators. As we build followers I feel its very important to reciprocate the love shown by said followers. I think it would be great if there was a way to filter your feed to only show those who are following you/those who you follow to better view their content, upvote, resteem and comment on. As it stands, your feed is only broken down by the preset categories. I feel bad that I am not able to view the content of everyone that follows me.
*When I first joined Steemit I installed the Steem Wallet from the Google Play store, but yet am unable to transfer SBD directly to this app. Mind you I am still new, but I think it would be beneficial to make the transferring of funds from Steemit to the Steem wallet, or even try and incorporate Bittrex into the Steemit platform. Perhaps it's just me but I hate having to transfer from Steemit, to Bittrex, to Coinbase and then into my account.
*On a few occasions I have posted a blog and felt I used the wrong tag and yes, I know this is my error, however perhaps there could be a way to edit the tags. Maybe its an allotted amount of times. For instance it can be done on a weekly basis to where you only have two or three opportunities to reedit your tags.
*Perhaps I am the only one that has this problem, but the Steemitboard isn't updated at all for my profile and it seems somewhat redundant to go to an entirely different website when your awards could be in your profile along with the wallet and other various settings.
*I do a lot of my steeming on my phone and for some reason the spell check and/or auto correct doesn't work at all. I am constantly deleting and going back to correct my grammar and spelling. Perhaps the website isn't quite mobile friendly yet?
*I would also like to see the ability to delete a post provided it hasn't been upvoted or commented on, and within a reasonable time frame. I am not so sure this is possible, but again just a thought.
*I would love the ability to categorize or file the blogs that I have done by their taglines or something similar to clean the blog section of our site up.
There are just a few of the ideas I have and I do realize this is still in Beta...If any of you Steemers that know the ins and outs of the site and I have listed something that is already in the works or already available, my apologies. I would love to get everyones feedback and ideas as well. The potential for this site is limitless.
