So this is the first post on this account, but I’ve actually been around Hive and Splinterlands for a long while now. I’ve always played pretty casually, but the grindyness of the game has got me down a few times in the past, so I’m switching things up a bit. Instead of trying to push leagues or chase rewards, I’m turning this account into a collector account.
The new plan is simple:
I just want to collect one of every regular foil card that I can.
Some will be easy, some will take forever, and some will be straight madness to try and get — but that’s the fun of it. So yeah, the journey starts now.
Right now the collection sits at 67 cards, broken down like this:
39 Foundation cards (non‑soulbound)
6 Conclave Arcana (3 of these are soulbound rewards)
11 Rebellion rewards (all soulbound)
2 Chaos Legion cards
1 Beta card
So that’s 59 unique cards, with a few doubles mixed in.
Moving forward, the plan is to play a few Frontier battles and some Modern battles, then sell off whatever cards I earn that don’t fit the collection goal. I’ll use that DEC/GLINT to pick up low‑cost Modern cards first, just so I’ve got a bit more flexibility in Bronze while farming glint for more cards. Anything extra I can sell will go straight back into buying new pieces for the collection.
Maybe long‑term I’ll move into gold or higher‑value cards, but for now I’m keeping it small and steady. Just building the collection one card at a time and having fun with it again.
