Hello everyone, It’s me, intishar@intishar, once again. I guess everyone is enjoying the battle of Splinterlands and it should be as it’s hard to think that anyone is not enjoying it. I don’t write about Splinterlands battles every day, but I don’t forget to share about the interesting battles I play. Reaching the Gold league battle was quite difficult at the beginning but now I have already started to enjoy it. I think that good strategy can outshine the opponent and at the current level I am doing it.

Today morning I played a battle against a level 4 Archon of Barthalamas while my Archon was at level 2. The battle was interesting because of the ruleset. Sometimes not attacking the opponent is the best attack for the opponent, and in this battle, I realized it quite well. I think that very few battles were as interesting for me like this one, and I am going to share about it. I hope that you will enjoy the battle.

Max mana cap of the battle was 55 which was decent enough to select powerful cards, but the ruleset was “Holy protection” and “Collateral Damage”. The ruleset of Collateral Damage means the unit attack brings damage to the summoned units. So, less attack means less damage. I choose the “Aurelia” as my archon and the 1st card was “Dire Bear”. It had 3 attack power and good health and good enough to give maximum damage to the opponent. It may harm to the second unit for the ruleset but in 2nd position my card was “Dread Tafarian” which could heal itself in each round. So, placing it behind the Dire Bear was the right choice as I wasn’t losing any health for the ruleset.

3rd position I used “Spellmonger”. It just used it thinking that if my opponent used some unit to attack opponent units with least health. Besides it doesn’t attack, no attack means no harm to the surrounding units. And the 4th position was for “Mad Gearhead”. It couldn’t attack from the 4th position directly. It could only attack from the first and second position. For a good time, it would not attack any opponent, and it means not harm to allied unites also.

5th position I placed “Buns the Unseen” as for the similar reason of 4th card but this one had armor to defense if my last card destroyed. Besides it would not attack any unit of opponent and harm allied units of mine. In the last position I placed the “New Beluroc Aegis”. It was for protecting all my units, more specifically Dire Bear as long as possible and give maximum damage. Besides it wouldn’t attack any units directly from that position.

In this battle I became the winner mostly because “New Beluroc Aegis” absorbed most the attack from the opponent and again, that attack became deadly for my opponent team for the ruleset. My team didn’t attack too much, but opponent team attacked with full force with drained the health of other units. I recommend you watch the battle. Here is the battle link.
